You look past my rough exterior

And focus on my softer interior

No, I’m not saying you’re some angel

But definitely a beautiful human being

With flaws that make you fascinating!!

Often, has misfortune come your way

Losing your parents, for instance

Yet, you’re the pillar of fortitude

Successfully fighting your inner demons

With a remarkable aptitude

For managing the house

And of course, it’s inhabitants!!
