One of the best uncles
An amazing conversationalist
A fantastic cricket enthusiast
Forever entertaining us
With a variety of anecdotes
Your mere presence, killing boredom
With you around, total freedom
To discuss anything and everything
You’re so, so happening!
Dear Mama, many many happy returns
Still remembering those days
When we used to discuss Christie murder mysteries
Your snake encounters
Having four rasagollas for lunch
Politics, maybe not so much
Nevertheless, enough to be remembered
Every single conversation, to be treasured!!
Dear Mama, many many happy returns
May this be one of your top birthdays
Yes, you’ve suffered a few recent losses
But you’re stronger than most of us
And remain steadfast in your prayers
Therefore, you deserve a lot more happiness
Not to mention, mental peace
For now though, just cherish your special day
Again, wish you a very very happy birthday!!
