We All Should Dream Of An Ideal World

A marathon poem on how I feel an ideal world should be. Here goes the content:

We all should dream of an ideal world

Certainly, can our ideas be bold

For instance, there should be no police

It’s the public who should have the choice

To decide the punishment any criminal should be awarded

The idea no doubt sounds highly flawed

Not to mention, absolutely ludicrous

However, definitely radical it is

Because, does it embody liberty

One of the ideals of the Indian Constitution

Which is an ideal example, for many a nation!

We all should dream of an ideal world

Utopia is the right word

A world full of peace and harmony

Without any country waging war against another country

A world free of nationalism

Rather, a world full of humanism!!

We all should dream of an ideal world

Equality can never ever get old

To make this happen, we need State Socialism

As postulated by Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar

Uprooted, should be capitalism

Equal distribution of wealth

Ensures good mental AND physical health

Free education and healthcare for everyone

The State should leave out no one!!

We all should dream of an ideal world

Come on, let’s spread the word

Destroy caste in all its forms

Kill the racism-spreading germs

Get rid of the patriarchy

Establish gender equality

Let’s hear it loud and clear

Men and women are one in nature!!

We all should dream of an ideal world

The concept of countries should be destroyed

Let us all be friends

Organised religion should end

Jesus should be with you and you alone

Not circulated for public consumption!!

We all should dream of an ideal world

Public transport should be used

By anybody and everybody

Private transport should be shared

The ultimate goal is to leave out nobody

And ensure all resources are utilised

To the greatest extent possible

After all, isn’t nothing impossible?

We all should dream of an ideal world

Well, as mentioned earlier, we must think bold

Make the rich give away a huge share of their wealth

So that the poor are always in good health

As Thanthai Periyar propounded

Let houses be shared

For the benefit of the common person

Ensure no one is ever alone!!

The movie “2.0”, you might have watched

“The world is not only for humans”

Equally important, are animals and plants

Respect Mother Nature to the hilt

Do not allow plants and trees to wilt

Leave the forests and jungles alone

To the animals, cause not pain

Build settlements around Nature

Not at the cost of Nature

Eat not, all animals

Stick to just a select few domestic animals

Do not kill animals for anything other than food

Vegan and cruelty-free products are always good

Maintain the balance of nature

Remember, even we humans are creatures!!

We all dream of an ideal world

Well, let us not allow our feet to get cold

Yes, this may only be a gigantic poem

But we should still dream

And ensure the dream becomes a reality

By making the best use of our capabilities
