Poem dedicated to Kannan Chitappa, one of my dearest uncles. Here goes the content:

A very dear uncle, you are

Almost like a second father

Constantly guiding and encouraging me

A lot, you’ve done for me!

A very dear uncle, you are

Under your love and care

I’ve blossomed as an individual

Rising strongly after every fall

Immensely valuable, has been your counsel

Helping me maintain my cool

In the toughest of times

You’ve shown tremendous patience

Even as I’ve made mistake after mistake

Seldom, has my life been dark

Thanks to your unwavering support

Enabling me to survive test after test

A shining ray of hope

Never, have you allowed me to mope!!

A very dear uncle, you are

You make sure, I rarely fear

That I’ll fail

Truly, do you care for all

Especially the poor and the underprivileged

To you, will they be indebted

For providing them a better life

You’re the go-to-man, in times of strife!!

A very dear uncle, you are

Some amazing times, we’ve had together

The trip to Yercaud

When I was just a child

Our Perth Test victory celebrations

Watching a truckload of movies

Dining at the finest of restaurants

So many memorable moments!!

A very dear uncle, you are

And will remain forever
