After all, my first love you were

Really, were you quite the catch

Sweet and caring to the core

Never, were you a bore!

Angry did you get, almost never

Yes, reserved you certainly were

However, nearly nothing did you fear

Not to mention, did you have the most beautiful smile

The best person in our batch, by a mile!!

Very empathetic and a wonderful listener

We shared many a short conversation

Though there was a memorable long conversation

Which was actually more of a debate

You were so passionate

Not to mention, extremely eloquent

That day, never shall I forget!!

In fact, were you my chief motivator

As far as my studies were concerned

So many things, I understood

A few things, I learned

From YOU

If I was dedicated and focussed

Like never before in my life

The main reason was YOU

You gave a new meaning to my life!!

I hope you are having the time of your life

You are, I am sure, an admirable wife

And perhaps an even better mother
