A Very Dear Aunt, You Are

This is a poem dedicated to Barghavi, one of my closest aunts. Here goes the content:

A very dear aunt, you are

Though actually more like a sister

Quite sweet and caring by nature

A lot of difficulties, have you often had to bear

However, always are you up to the task

After every crisis, strongly do you bounce back

You are an exceptional wife and mother

So proud am I, to have you as my sister!

A very dear aunt, you are

A lot of responsibility, do you forever shoulder

Greatly, do I value your counsel

Most of the time, do you manage to stay cool

Irrespective of the situation

You possess a very sharp brain

And excellent, is your emotional quotient

As a dentist, truly are you amongst the best!!

A very dear aunt, you are

For you, a lot do I care

I owe you one for putting up with all my rants

Really commendable, is your patience

Moreover, your kids are adorable

At times of course, can they be quite a handful

But nothing you cannot manage

Very gracefully, do you age!!

A very dear aunt, you are

Whenever you are around, people have nothing to fear

Always, have we had wonderful times together

And may we soon have many more
