Let’s Assume I Love You, Ms. AC

This will be yet another love poem, where I imagine a hypothetical situation that involves me being in love with Ms. AC, an imaginary person. Here is the content:

Let’s assume I love you, Ms. AC

Light up for sure, would my eyes

Shine like the Sun, would my face

Wide open, would be my mouth

And dazzle, would my teeth

As I revel in this sublime feeling

My life, totally changing

And definitely for the better

I bet even God couldn’t agree more!

Let’s assume I love you, Ms. AC

Throw reality out of the window for a few moments

Or rather, OUR moments

Imagine the things, could we do

You have absolutely no clue

A dinner date at a cricket-themed restaurant

Where, could you have all that you want

A mesmerising journey through the Nilgiri mountains

In one of India’s most charming toy trains

A fierce debate on Harry Potter

With no one emerging as a clear winner

Attending a Harris Jayaraj concert

And dancing to his simply irresistible beats

Reading an Agatha Christie murder mystery together

And sacrificing hours of sleep, in order to guess the murderer

A poetry contest between just the two of us

Where we write poems about each other

The list keeps getting better and better

Truly magical, are our moments!!

Let’s assume I love you, Ms. AC

With you, be I shall

Right till the very end

To make sure you are happy, could I kill

Heavenly, would be our bond

Your family would be my family

And my family, your family

All the pain in the world, could I endure

To ensure your bright future

All that I ask for

Is that you accept me as I am

And stay with me, now and forever

Of course, you love me back, I assume

If not, then am I thankful to God
