Technically, may you be my aunt

But you are actually more like a parent

Advising, guiding and mentoring

And at the same time, never mollycoddling

Very very lucky am I, to have you in my life

Never have you been absent, in times of strife!

Technically, may you be my aunt

But in reality, are you much more than that

My mother is as good as your sister

And your daughter is as good as my sister

Truly, are we family

And may you always be happy!!

Technically, may you be my aunt

But we have such a level of comfort

That I feel I can tell you anything

Without you, am I almost nothing!!

Technically, may you be my aunt

In that case, are you my closest aunt

Your husband is as good as my father

You and your family make me happier
