Poem dedicated to Tamil Elakiya, one of my dearest friends; who is going through quite a few struggles in her life, including losing a very close uncle yesterday.

Do not worry, my dear dear friend

You, will I always defend

Very very sorry am I, for your loss

May your Mama’s soul rest in peace

I hope and pray you stay strong

Because, you doing well will mean everything

To your uncle’s family

After all, he died not in vain

Even though he had gone through unspeakable pain!

Do not worry, my dear dear friend

Soon, will all bad things end

You are a very good person

Never, have you committed a sin

For you, will I be there always

Because, we are not just friends

We are family

And I want to see you happy!!

Do not worry, my dear dear friend

Soon, will things turn around

All your hard work and dedication will finally pay off

Really, have you done enough

Now, is it all up to the Lord

And you, should he handsomely reward

Because, you deserve nothing less than the best

To that, can your work certainly attest!!

May Jesus give you the courage and strength

To deal with life’s most difficult tests

For now, just take a small break

And maybe have a cake!!
