I Know You For Two Years

Poem dedicated to Tamanna, one of my colleagues and a good friend too. Here goes the content:

I know you for two years

But it doth seem a lot more

Because we are thick as thieves

When it comest to work

It’s not often

That we are not on the same page

You know the old but famous quote

“Great minds think alike”

I mean not to boast

But I think it applies to us as well

I know you for two years

And I’m as good a judge of character

As Hermione Granger understands Quidditch

However, with you, I felt good vibes

Right from day one

As friendly as Keanu Reeves

As helpful as Harry Potter himself

As dedicated and hardworking as my best friend

And finally

As ambitious as a true Slytherin

You’ve been quite the asset to our team

Not to mention, a good friend of mine

I know you for two years

And there has been many a time

When I’ve bitten off more than I can chew

During such times

Your support has been most invaluable

Truly, you’ve been the light

At the end of a long and dark tunnel

In which I’ve gotten myself stuck

More times than I can count

I know you for two years

And I’ve often marvelled

At your ability to enjoy life to the fullest

No matter how much responsibility rests

On your weary shoulders

You’ve set quite the example

When it comest to managing work

And having fun at the same time

I know you for two years

And it has been quite the honour

After the drudgery of commuting to office

By the dreaded Mumbai locals

All my irritation, stress and frustration

Evaporates faster than the speed of a bullet train

After you make your entrance in style

Just like your namesake does

In the song “Kaavaalaa”

I know you for two years

And I want to let you know

That, should you require any support

Regarding work or otherwise

You can always rely on me
