Where Will The Inspiration Come From?

Poem on searching for inspiration as I go through the monotony of life. Here goes the content:

Every single day

As I go through the grind of life

I wonder aloud “Anything new today?”

It’s because I am in need of a break

From the monotony of my daily routine

Where will the inspiration come from?

I think and think

And as the seconds turn into minutes

And the minutes turn into hours

I remain bereft of ideas

Scratching my head every now and then

Followed by pacing around in a restless manner

Finally, it dawns on me

That enough time has been spent on thinking

And the time has come for some action

I switch on my laptop

And put on some music

Initially, I hear a lot of gibberish

Though I obviously don’t understand a word of it

The tune is extremely catchy

And it is soon followed by some rhythmic beats

As the pace builds up

I begin to tap my feet

Soon, I am treated to a veritable symphony

Along with some soulful and passionate singing

And as I begin to dance

I get a feeling

That the inspiration I’ve been looking for

Has finally arrived

Moreover, now I am in such a good mood

That I tell myself “Nothing is beyond me”
