For You, I Did So Much

Poem dedicated to a woman who used to be my best friend for 10+ years but then ultimately showed her true colours and betrayed me:

For you, I did so much

You only saw me as rich

Not a kind human being

Without me, you were nothing!

For you, I did so much

Cared for you so much

Loved you as a sister

My grandmother, like your grandmother

Helped you financially

And non-financially

All in all, the perfect friend

In fact, more like family friend!!

For you, I did so much

You saw me as a prize catch

A tool to exploit

A fool to cheat

Pretending to care for me

You never let me be free!!

For you, I did so much

Only for you to ditch

Me at a crucial time

My family, you gave not a damn

Treating us like mere objects

To satisfy your ever-increasing needs

A wolf in sheep’s clothing

And a sham of a human being!!

For you, I did so much

You betrayed me so much

Reducing me to my nadir

Causing me to shed many a tear

Almost destroyed my life

You don’t deserve to be a wife!!

For you, I did so much

But you cared zilch

I hope you read this one day

Come what may

So that you finally realise

What you’ve lost

Due to your sheer avarice

And repent

For a long, long time

You ball of slime!!
