This poem is dedicated to my first and only true love; a woman who used to be my MBA classmate. Here goes the content:

Me, you may not remember

However, you, will I always remember

Because, you stole my heart

And that played its part

In ensuring those days were the happiest of my life!

For every single moment, did I live

Rarely, was I sad

Because, you were so good

That you swept me off my feet

And I danced to your beat!!

One of the sweetest people, have I known

Never did I feel alone

In your charming presence

Seeing you was equivalent to happiness

And though you spoke only English

The way you spoke, greatly did I relish

A pure and innocent soul, you were

For everyone, did you care

Also, though you were quite shy

Always, were you happy

Not to mention, extremely helpful

On the whole, was your character beautiful!!

Thus, I couldn’t help falling in love with you

What I liked most about you

Was the fact that you never got angry

Nor were you ever in a hurry

Every single conversation with you made me smile

Never, were you dull

Thanks to you, could I actually focus better on studies

And dispel my exam blues!!

An absolute gem of a person, you were

And someone whom I’ll forget, never
