If I Were To Fall In Love

Poem on what my life would be like, were I to fall in love. Here is the content:

If I were to fall in love

A new meaning would there be, for my life

Never would I be the same again

For instance, I would have to come out of my comfort zone

Even if it ended up driving me insane

Totally would I relate

To the Harris Jayaraj melodies I usually listen to

Light as a feather, would be my heart

Driven away, would be all the hate

Except maybe when it cometh to a country like Israel

But yes, no longer would my life be dull!

If I were to fall in love

Madly would I crave

For the juiciest piece of meat in the world

Even were it cold

Take time out, I would

For a leisurely stroll in the moonlight

The feeling would be too good

Even if it ended up making me sleep late!!

If I were to fall in love

Stronger than ever, would I believe

In the innate goodness of people

Anything, would I be able to tackle

Including even achieving closures in Recruitment

Never again would I say “No, I can’t”!!

If I were to fall in love

Anything would I be ready to give

To ensure it didn’t end up being all in vain

Even were it to involve a lot of pain

However, never would I compromise on my principles

Not even on an impulse

Neither would I change my character

Regardless of what cometh after!!

If I were to fall in love

It would be totally worth it

Even were I to get hit

With the sheer pain of rejection

Because it would give me motivation

To strive for the very best

Indeed, often is love the truest test

Of how good one can be as a person

To be learnt, is a very valuable lesson!!

If I were to fall in love

I would give the Lord a high-five

Because this would truly be a godsent opportunity

For me to use all my creativity

And write poems like this

Not that I am boasting, of course

Anyway, love is definitely a blessing, not a curse

So, again, if I were to fall in love

I would give God a high-five

And say “bring it on”!!
