Kindness In A Cruel World

Poem on why we must always be kind to people, no matter what. Here goes the content:

We live in a cruel world

Where there is more cold

As opposed to warmth

Many times, do we feel out of our depth

Therefore, might you ask

Why should we be kind?

Well, it is certainly not an easy task

Because the world is wild

However, all it takes is faith

And of kindness shall there be no dearth

Because, only by Kindness, can Cruelty be defeated

By Love, Hate

By Good, Evil

And can I go on and on

We live in a cruel world

Therefore, is it of utmost importance

That we give a second chance

To those who have made mistakes

Our pride, must we forsake

And kill people with kindness

You know the famous saying

“As you sow, so shall you reap”

Be kind to everyone

Not because they need it

But because you are doing the Lord a great service

And will your mind be at ease

Rewarded handsomely, shall be your kindness

You, shall God bless

However, cruel were you, to anyone

Will it only make you unhappy

Suffer, shall you daily

Kill you, will your guilt

Even the world’s thickest quilt

Shall protect you not

From the bitter cold of your shame

For everything that goes wrong

Will you be forced to shoulder the blame

And your good times shall not last long

We live in a cruel world

However, a mere kind word

Can a world of difference make

Because, is love all about give and take

One thing it is, to achieve greatness

But entirely another, to be known for kindness

Take Palestine, for instance

A genocide is taking place

Therefore, is kindness the need of the hour

And it is not about Arabs or Israelis

At stake, is humanity

Be kind to your community

And shall you be rewarded with love

Love that lasts as long

As the life of a tortoise

Be mean to people

And will your confidence topple

Like a house of cards

Life is indeed hard

However, shall kindness go a long way

Towards securing your inner peace
