An Ode To Luna Lovegood

Poem dedicated to Luna Lovegood, one of my favourite characters in the Potterverse. Here goes the content:

People often think you are weird

But that’s totally unfair

Yes, you are indeed different

But in a good way

A lot of people believe

That God truly exists

And can perform miracles

Similarly, you believe that Crumple-horned Snorkacks exist

What’s wrong in that?

The only thing that truly matters

Is the fact that you are a beautiful human being

Who accepts people as they are

And more importantly, values friendship to such an extent

That you are ready to do anything for your friends

Including supporting them on a dangerous mission

Without the slightest hesitation

You often got bullied by your housemates

However, you always took it in your stride

And managed to stay positive

The same can’t be said for many others

Who have faced similar situations

You lost your mother when you were just a kid

That too due to a freak accident

However, rather than falling apart

You’ve managed to develop a mental strength

Which is second to none

This was particularly on display

During the second wizarding war

When you were kidnapped by the Death Eaters

And held hostage for a few months

Not only were you able to emerge unscathed

After such a traumatic experience

You also displayed the bravery of a typical Gryffindor

While fighting in the Battle of Hogwarts

Let me say this again

You are truly an amazing human being

And I wish you were not just a fictional character

Because I like you, very very much

Please be the way you are

And I wish you loads of good heath, happiness, love and success

Yes, you are indeed a fictional character

However, as far as such characters are concerned

You are one of the best

Without an iota of doubt
